IMPORTANT BUS ROUTE UPDATES 9-12-2011. We are moving morning pick-up times forward on most routes by 5 minutes. Not all route times have changed. All time changes are reflected on the Updated 9-12-2011 bus route listings on the web page. We will continue to work on refining the routes and pick up times until we find the best timetable for all schools. We ask parents and students to be patient until we have achieved that goal.

Late Bus for Bedford students runs Mon-Thu (only when school is in session and not on early release days.Pick up at Middle School at 3:50 pm and then continues to High School for pick up.

New 2011-2012 Bus Transportation Procedures

With the change in start times for the coming school year there are new bus transportation procedures being implemented. For the 2011-2012 school year we are combining the high school and middle school routes and middle school students and high school students will ride the buses together. There will be sixteen (16) routes. The scheduled pickup start time for each route is posted, and it is highly recommended that you arrive at your stop at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Based on the estimated rider ship we anticipate that all buses will be full. It should be expected that the first several weeks of the school year would require some tinkering and revisions to the routes and timing. Please be patient while any issues are worked out.

Bus routes for both the Lane School and the Davis School should remain basically the same as in past years. Those school's routes are also posted on the web site. Please note that start-times and dismissal times at both Lane and Davis have changed slightly. Again, it is highly recommended that you arrive at your stop 15 minutes prior to the start time for the route.

New BHS/JGMS Bus Procedures

BHS/JGMS morning drop off

• All buses will arrive between 7:15 am and 7:35 AM
•  All buses will stop at JGMS and let all students off
• A crossing guard will be stationed to assist BHS students crossing Railroad Ave from JGMS
• All high school students will wait for crossing guard to stop traffic on Railroad Ave before proceeding to the high school
• Parent drop-off will be in the back parking lot of JGMS – front bus loop will be closed to other traffic between 7 am and 8 am. A new parent drop off protocol is also located on the web site – it is important to the safety and well being of all students, parents, and staff that this new drop off procedure be followed.

BHS/JGMS Afternoon pick up

• Buses will arrive at JGMS by 2:10 PM, student dismissal is at 2:18 PM
• JGMS students will board buses and then buses will proceed from the middle school to BHS for high school student pickup
• Buses will proceed out from BHS to their designated afternoon routes to drop students off.
