Welcome to the Curriculum Page for the Bedford Public Schools. We have begun to post links to curricular web pages across the district in the hopes that you will find the information here useful. In particular, we encourage the parents of our students to explore the material we will continue to post here over the next few month, as we work together to educate all our children.

The Bedford Public Schools takes great pride in offering our children an educational experience rich with creative opportunities, well grounded in substantive learning goals, and focused on preparing them to be thoughtful, knowledgeable and actively engaged participants in the adult world. In each of our schools, we evaluate our curriculum and instruction by asking ourselves if we are helping our students learn to be active learners who have learned to be good observers of the world around them, resourceful thinkers who know the value of good questions in building new understanding, and good communicators who are able to share their thoughts with others. By using this lens to review our work, we believe that we can provide our children with an education that is based on real world applications and is flexible enough to allow children to discover the joys of learning for themselves. Moreover, we will be helping our children become the life-long learners they will need to be to find both success and happiness in this new century.
